Community liaison panel visit Sleaford REP

The Community Liaison Panel is a partnership between North Kesteven District Council, Sleaford Town Council, Kirkby-la-Thorpe Parish Council, and Sleaford REP. Its main role has been to oversee the delivery and distribution of £285,000 of Community Funding that was provided by the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant and Glennmont Partners, the plant owners.   The various funding streams have sought to enhance the economic and environmental sustainability of the area.

It was formally established on 15th January 2013 and has met on a quarterly basis thereafter.

Community Fund

The Community Fund  of £120,000 has now been nearly fully committed. It has distributed c£40,000 per year, split equally with an annual allocation of £20,000 towards projects in Sleaford Town and £20,000 towards projects in Kirkby-la-Thorpe Parish.

A diverse range of local groups and organisations have applied for and received grants.
